TECHNICAL SUPPORT BRANCH NAVIGATION BULLETIN NO. 22-82 NOTICE TO NAVIGATION INTERESTS:

 

GULF INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY, FLORIDA

 

MILE 179.1, FORT MCREE

 

 

Notice is given to mariners that significant shoaling has occurred at mile 179.1. Carter’s Contracting Services is mobilizing to begin emergency dredging operations at the site within approximately one to two weeks. They will utilize a mechanical excavator on a barge and operations are expected to last approximately 10 days.

 

They will monitor VHF Channels 13 and 16.  Traffic is requested to notify the barge prior to approaching the area and to transit the area with caution at no-wake speed.
